Web Content/Communications Manager (Chatsworth)

Sierra Canyon School is seeking a self-starter to oversee the School’s comprehensive communications program. The position requires an individual with the ability to administer the School’s website and web services, while managing content for the publication of written and electronic communications.

A talent for multitasking and the ability to understand and respond to individual work styles and preferences, duties include:

- Liaison with Information Technology, Development, Admissions and outside vendors.

- Administrative management of all aspects of the School’s electronic communications

- Development of content for the School’s communications

Proficiency in a variety of computer programs and languages, including HTML, CS5, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with creating and editing sound file formats a plus; experience and knowledge of Web hosting and e-commerce; and exceptional communications skills. Knowledge of Finalsite content management system preferred; Blackbaud, a plus.

Requires 2-3 years of experience in electronic publishing and site navigation. College degree required.

Good judgment, high energy, with the ability to take initiative and work independently when needed is a must, as well as the capability to work with minimum supervision. These qualities must be balanced by a willingness to ask questions to clarify assignments and a willingness to seek and accept supervisors' guidance in an appropriate manner. Demonstrated ability to represent office professionally through excellent communications skills, both written and oral, is a must.
