Web Designer & Graphic Artist

Small, progressive and busy publishing firm in the West San Fernando Valley is looking for an in-house Web Designer and Graphic Artist to help manage multiple client websites and digital collateral as well as print collateral. Some project management abilities also required. We are PC based.

The job would entail 50 percent web, 20 percent e-newsletter software work, 20 percent print collateral and 10 percent administrative work, including dealing with printers. Web work includes designing and redesigning our current clients' websites, building new sites (in conjunction with a web developer), and integration with e-newsletter and social media platforms. Graphic design work include ads, brochures, flyers and newsletters.

Looking for someone with a good sense of design & fonts. Must be able to work under deadlines and work on a team. Speed, skill and accuracy are required.

The successful candidate must be proficient in the following PC Programs/Systems:

* Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat)

* Content Management Systems (CMS), particularly Joomla & Drupal

* Constant Contact and Salsa

* Dreamweaver and Fireworks

* Designing with web standards (XHTML and CSS)

* Knowledge of FLASH, PHP and MySQL a real plus
