Web/Online Communities Specialist (Los Angeles)
We are recruiting for a full time position and are looking for someone with experience with Jquery and XML. The job description is:
Posting:
Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Advancement Services, the Web/Online Communities Specialist will be responsible for updating web content, making sure that the posted content is accurate, timely and error-free. This includes line editing, linking text, descriptions, captions, and images. Making any requested changes/corrections in a timely manner. This position will work closely with content providers to provide support in developing micro sites using various CMS platforms. In addition to posting the content, designing page layouts, and creating design templates, this position will implement and manage the online community site functionality. The position will also obtain business requirements from staff or new web functionality to support our fundraising efforts. The position will be working with various divisions within the department to coordinate updates and the development of new pages.
Educational Requirements:
BA/BS in Digital Media or related field
5+ years of related experience
Experience in using HTML
Experience with Jquery
Experience with XML
Expertise in using Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Experience with CSS design, cross browser and cross platform compatibility
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Access
Experience with quality assurance techniques and practices
Experience with Blackbauds CMS platform a plus
Knowledge of W3C Web Standards, ADA & Sections 508 and 504 Compliance
