Job Description

Our ideal candidate is a team player who is bright, enthusiastic, insightful and enjoys building websites and online promotions for a variety of clients such as McDonalds, Kraftfoods and Hasbro. You will be responsible for the front-end development of these projects, using hand coded standards-compliant XHTML/CSS in a highly collaborative, deadline-driven environment. We’re looking for someone who has the ability to perform well under pressure, adhere to deadlines, work on multiple projects simultaneously and still bring energy and creativity to work each day. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Coding tableless sites and promotions using clean, standards-compliant XHTML/CSS by hand

• Writing client side scripts using jQuery and other JavaScript frameworks and plugins.

• Conducting initial cross-browser / cross-platform QA of pages

• Modifying layered Photoshop files per client requests and project needs

• Working with backend Java, PHP and .NET developers to integrate presentation code in applications

Key Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this post will be able to demonstrate the following:

• 2+ years of raw HTML Web development (candidate must be extremely comfortable coding XHTML/CSS by hand)

• 1+ years of CSS development (candidate must have strong css layout knowledge)

• Competency in cross-platform and cross-browser front-end parity

• Competency with browser scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript) and frameworks (e.g. jQuery)

• Ability to build front end applications that use Ajax and manipulate the DOM

• Possess creative sensibilities and proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

• Demonstrate a proven ability to work under pressure and to exacting standards and deadlines

• Demonstrate proven ability to work on multiple projects with concurrent timelines

• Strong communication/interpersonal skills with the ability to function in a team-oriented environment

• Must include portfolio/links to previous work.

Valuable Experience

• Prior employment at a technology consulting or client services company

• Experience coding in an application presentation framework (e.g. JSP)

• Flash and ActionScript experience a plus
